    About Our Product

Wire Rope Hoist Manufacturers & Suppliers in India — Ganesh Engineering Co.

At Ganesh Engineering Co., we design and manufacture Wire Rope Hoists for industries that need safe, smooth and reliable lifting every day. Our hoists are designed for factories, warehouses, fabrication units, steel plants and other industrial spaces where heavy materials need to be lifted with control and accuracy.

As one of the trusted manufacturers of Wire Rope Hoist in India, we offer practical, durable and easy-to-maintain lifting equipment. Every hoist is tailor-made to meet the customer’s specific lifting requirement, working height, duty cycle and site condition.

What is a Wire Rope Hoist?

It is a compact electric lifting device that winds a steel wire rope onto a drum to lift, lower, and move heavy loads. It’s one of the most common lifting components used in industrial facilities — small enough to mount on existing crane structures, but capable of handling loads from 1 ton to 10 tons with real precision.

Wire rope hoists are mounted on:

    The key components are:

How Does a Wire Rope Hoist Work?

The hoist runs through a motor-driven drum system with three core functions:
    Hoisting Motion

The motor drives the gearbox, which turns the rope drum. The rope winds up to lift the load and unwinds to bring it down.

    Cross Travel Motion

The trolley carries the hoist left and right along the crane beam or monorail, moving the load horizontally to where it needs to go.

    Control

The operator controls everything through a pendant pushbutton station, radio remote, or cabin — depending on how far they are from the load and what the application needs.

    Wire Rope Hoist Applications

Our hoists work across a wide range of industries:
Single shift or round the clock — our hoists are built for the duty your operation runs on.

Why Choose Us for Your Wire Rope Hoist?

Here’s why industries across India trust us as their Wire Rope Hoist suppliers:
    1

    20+ Years of Manufacturing Experience

We've been in this for over two decades. Our hoists run on EOT cranes, gantry cranes, and monorail systems in plants across India and international markets.

    2

    In-House Gearbox Manufacturing

We make the hoisting gearbox ourselves at our Ahmedabad facility. That means full control over quality and spare parts always sitting in our stock — no waiting around when something needs replacing.

    3

    IS Standard Compliant Design

Every hoist is built to IS:807 and IS:3177 from the design stage. Compliance isn't something we add at the end.

    4

    Custom Engineering

Standard configurations handle most requirements. When yours is different — special lift heights, hazardous area versions, non-standard hooks — we engineer accordingly.

    5

    Pan-India Supply and Export

We deliver and commission across India and export to international markets. Wherever your facility is, we can reach it.

    6

    Genuine After-Sales Support

Installation help, spare parts, breakdown support — these come with every hoist we supply. A hoist is a working tool, and it has to keep working.

What is a wire rope hoist used for?

It lifts, lowers, and positions heavy loads in industrial facilities. It mounts on crane beams, monorail systems, or works as a standalone unit in workshops and warehouses.

A wire rope hoist uses a steel wire rope on a drum and handles higher capacities, greater lift heights, and continuous heavy-duty use. A chain hoist suits lighter loads and occasional lifting. For industrial crane applications above 3 tons, wire rope is the standard.

Yes — it's the standard lifting component on both single girder and double girder EOT cranes. The hoist trolley runs on the crane beam and handles hoisting and cross travel.

Our standard range goes to 10 tons. For higher capacities, get in touch with your requirements and we'll make it.

Wire rope inspection for wear, kinking, and broken strands; brake adjustment and testing; gearbox oil level checks; limit switch testing; and hook inspection. A quarterly service schedule works well for hoists in regular daily use.

Replace it when you find broken strands, visible kinking or flattening, corrosion that can't be cleaned off, or when it's reached its rated service life. Running a worn rope past these points is a safety risk.

Price depends on capacity, lift height, duty class, and optional features. Send us your specification and we'll come back with a detailed quote.
